Congrats for the nomination. I never joined or competed in any awards before. And I do not know if I will. My best experience in scuba diving was in Bunaken. It was really great experience with some great local buddies. Do you enter the same award for this year?

I really appreciate what you do for marine environment around you. It inspire me to do something around my community to build good environment for next generation. Right now i start to plant tree to green our park so close to our place. I wish it can reduce global warming

Maybe we should find out how to make the turbines less noisy. I'm thinking about choosing an air conditioner instead of a fan. So we can get the electricity and the porpoises can still have a calm life.

So sad that you think about donating to animals/environment/whatever *instead* of donating to children that starve. If you donate to both, you could still donate more to children so it is equally sad.

some of the places that I have visited have huge manta rays. And they are one of the best attractions that the people are willing to watch and witness.

Reminds of the Peter Benchley novel The Girl from the Sea of Cortez. It is a story of a native dive girl who befriends a manta. I wish I could some day dive and swim with these gentle creatures of the sea.

They’re very beautiful! Mantas are endangered already, so we
have to take care of them. We still want our children to see them!

Mantas are most elegant of their species. They look like huge birds slowly flying in the water and look majestic.

How I wish I could really see an alive and real manta ray. And of course go diving with the mantas! That would be the best experience ever! However, may I know where this place is? We should really take good care of our sea creatures for it is on them that we survive!

I agree! It would be the best if we seeing this on our own eyes. I love to try scuba diving to appreciate the beauty of the ocean but sadly I haven't tried one:(

Wow!!! This place perhaps is one of the nicest place that I ever saw. However, it would still be best if I will be seeing the place on my own eyes not only on photos but on actual setting. I know there are so many wonderful places around the world and a lot of tourists will surely enjoy and have fun with their vacation.

Unfortunately too many governments think that with a law protecting an area "The Job is done". We believe that responsible tourism is the only way forward which is why we have a volunteer group at one reef we want to protect and are trying to get a resort to build at another place. The global shark survey and the Sabah shark survey back this up. No tourists, no sharks!!
